I can't believe that I am sitting here listening to the Governor of New Jersey admit to the world that he is homosexual. He is 47 years old with a wife and children. Apparently he had an adulterous affair with a man and feared the affair would become public, so he has decided to resign as Governor, effective November 15.

"I am removing these threats by taking full responsibility for my actions." He says he is being true to his real self, and I respect him for that. Better late than never.

UPDATE: A gay blogger (Boi From Troi) makes some good points about some of the implications of McGreevy's resignation. (hat tip: Instapundit)
