Yeah, Right

From the Command Post comes this tidbit: the "insurgents" in Fallujah are inviting journalists to "embed" with them during the coming battle against Iraqi forces and US Marines.

Fallujah insurgents besieged by US and Iraqi troops have invited journalists to “embed” with them to report their side of the war.
”All media will be allowed into Fallujah to witness the crusade against Islam and see the real face of America. US media will not be excluded,” said a statement by the Fallujah Mujahideen Shura (council), composed of insurgent leaders, tribal chiefs and Sunni Muslim clerics.
“We will protect and transport them to the location of the events. There will be a special building for the journalists.”[…]The few journalists remaining in Fallujah, which has been the target of repeated US air strikes for weeks, are mainly Iraqis, although some work for foreign news outlets.

Let's see. These are the same "insurgents" who are blowing up civilians and beheading aid workers. These are the same "insurgents" who are currently getting pounded by US airstrikes, and have no military possiblity of winning the upcoming battle. As usual, the terrorists are relying on the fact that the media and the Left --via the U.N. and "world opinion" --will permit them to snatch a victory from the inevitable defeat (NOTE TO EUROPE: this is why appeasement is such a lousy psychological technique--it makes your opponents believe that you'll back down if they just persist, even though they have no real chance of winning. It is the same strategy that kids use on adults. My favorite example is the ice cream scene from the movie Kramer vs. Kramer). Even the so-called "journalists" at Al Jazeera would have to be a few sheets short to agree to such a proposal to embed (read: entomb), where they would be no more than human shields to be used by the terrorists.

On the other hand....maybe Dan Rather would be interested?
