Meanwhile, Congress is simply shocked. As one blogger put it, "Wait — you mean corruption, graft, and political protectionism for said corruption and graft can have consequences? Yikes. Who knew?"
There's plenty of blame to go around, of course. But, on the whole, it is not the "failed economic policies of Republicans"--especially not conservatives-- that got us here, even if Saint Obama and his Holy See try to pretend that it is.

I know! Let's 'bail out' the Democratic Party by voting them into the White House again! That way they can continue to pretend that reality doesn't exist! It's only fair that these pathetic losers not have to take any responsibility at all for their incompetence in dealing with the economy....
Let's pretend with the Democrats that it's all Bush's fault! Let's pretend that McCain caused it! Let's pretend that it is conservative fiscal policy that is behind all those bad loans to people who couldn't afford them.
Let's just keep pretending and even elect the Messiah, the One, the only person who feels our pain; then everything will be ok.
