Acute Paranoia

In my profession, it is obviously important to be able to tell the difference between "normal" and "paranoid delusional". In some cases, it is so obvious that even non-psychiatrists find it easy to identify. Here is a good example of blatant paranoia (hat tip: Michele Catalano) via the frequently psychotic site known as the Democratic Underground. What stimulated this outbreak of psychosis? General Shalikashvili, former chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, just had a stroke. Of course, it is all part of Bush's evil plan for world domination, since Shalikashvili was an advisor to Kerry. I expect Howard Dean to express his thoughts on the subject in the near future.
